Miss America Controversy: Fuck You Perez Hilton

Before anything else, I would just like it known that I do have friends who are into homosexual relationship back in my call center job. I don’t have any problem with their preference. Why? Well, it’s their choice, their beliefs and I don’t hold it against them. Likewise, they know my beliefs, my opinion, and they respect that. So with that out of the way, please watch this video:

Update 4/27/09: Previous video’s embed function was disabled. Posted a different one where Miss California’s answer is more complete than the last one.

What the fuck!?!

Why the fuck would you ask that question if you’re not able to handle the answer?

So in Mr(Ms?) Perez Hilton’s warped idea of an ideal Miss America is someone who sucks up to the judge, forgets her upbringing, and compromise her belief just to please them.

It’s not like she answered in a rude manner. She answered in the nicest way possible for her to express her beliefs.

Homosexuals had lobbied for several years for people to respect their sexual preference and acceptance towards them has been increasing but can’t they do the same for other people’s belief.

So kudos to you Miss California. You have my respect. I wish you all the very best.

And to Donald Trump, I beg you, please, don’t invite Perez Hilton to judge for Miss America again. There are hundreds of judge that you can get that have an open mind.

Update: 04/23/09

Two things I would like to add:

  • Women’s group should support Carrie Prejean as she has exhibited the character of a strong willed, uncompromising woman.
  • I have no problem with Perez Hilton wanting gay marriage, my problem is how close minded he is. Miss California answered the question as respectfully as she can and Perez Hilton should have judge it on how she answered not what her answer is.

WOW! I never thought this country could sink so low! What is freedom if you cant even have an opinion. As for perez,he needs to be kept under wraps until the miss drag queen USA contest which I feel sure is comming.

  2. linsauke says:

    Amen to that.

She just stated her belief in a proper and respectful manner. Even though her views may not coincide with that of the judges, it should not be used against her, sadly though, it was actually used against her.

What actually made things worse was Perez’ response in his blog. Everything should have just ended after the pageant. Oh well, he’s a blogger, of course he’ll crave for more attention and controversy.

I’m so amazed the those who preach and demand tolerance, show NO tolerance.
He asked her for her views on the matter and she spoke her views. So now Hilton does not like her view so he condemns her.
Carrie Prejean is wearing a crown that will last forever.

I agree wholeheartedly.. I believe the pageant (scholarship program) is called Miss America.. not Miss Gay / Lesbian America.

After viewing the video, I hope the real cause of her not winning was quite truthfully.. she was not that articulate in her answer. But to lend further support to the previous comments.. I too have notice the Gay community has tended to become what they abhor. Intolerance. Anyone who disagrees with their stance is intolerant??? Sorry, doesn’t work that way. Miss California has the right to state her opinion. And it is very refreshing to see someone actually stand up for their view.. Not many do that these days it seems…

I am just glad weve gotten off the important issues of escalating war, pirates attacking US ships, rewarding automakers, banker, insurance giants with huge stimulus monies while the rest of us worry about Perez Hiltons 15 minutes of fame… Last name should have been a clue…
    ZZZZZZZZ

  6. Rhonda Manada says:

That woman is entitled to disagree with that judge’s lifestyle. He’s openly discriminating against her because she doesn’t embrace his views. And why is he so angry? So every future Miss American contestant has to approve of gay people marrying each other? Or conceal their views lest they forfeit their chances for the crown? Perez Hilton needs to be reprimanded sternly, and held accountable for his childish public tantrum.

  7. QUEER REVOLUTION – a fundamental change in the way of thinking about or visualizing something : a change of paradigm.

Now that two 11-year-old boys have committed suicide this past week, I am EVEN MORE driven to do “radical” actions in an effort to bring attention to our cause. For the record, if you think that DEMANDING WITHOUT APOLOGY what is ALREADY DUE TO ME is “radical”, well then – that is YOUR problem.

So I’m afraid that violence against an institution’s property MAY need to be the next step. I don’t know. Something needs to change NOW.

We are harmed by legal inequity.
    YOU are not.
That may need to change as people like YOU try to insert your “religion” into CIVIL LAW.

“So I’m afraid that violence against an institution’s property MAY need to be the next step. I don’t know. Something needs to change NOW.”?????
You are about as helpful to your cause as Perez is. Just remember that “violence against” can get you a “bullet in the head”.

    • Russell says:

      Are you gay?

Your views are respected but I do hope that the views opposing yours will also be respected.

About Ms. California, yes, she was a bit inarticulate, still, I’m proud that she stood up for her beliefs.

And Perez blabbing about how Ms. USA should not alienate nor exclude people, well for one, she clearly pointed out that it’s just her belief. She did acknowledge the right of others to believe and fight otherwise, something that Perez cannot do. Besides, Ms. USA did speak for the majority of America, if the result of the Prop 8 thingy is not an indicator, I don’t know what is. Also, in the same way that there are straights are gay rights activists, take to account that there are probably some members of the gay community who agree with Ms. California.

Civil law?!? Well, marriage has been clearly defined in civil law for a long time now in different countries. And majority of them are in line with that of Ms. California’s beliefs.

I rather propose a new term that will give the benefits of marriage for domestic partners.

Oh, and last, Perez definitely didn’t help the community in its advocacy. He just reminded homophobic why they hate gay people so much. Heck, maybe Perez is HETEROPHOBIC?

  9. mcnorman says:

I just want to know why Perez has not slammed Obama and Biden on this issue. Both represent the country and both are against gay marriage.
Why the unleashed hate at Carrie Prejean? Why not the prez and vp?

    • linsauke says:

coz he had a power over Ms Cali..

Perez.. definitely not promoting his cause thru his actions..

and by the way, it seems that perez is rallying supports from celebrities by asking their stand on gay marriage.. well, as if these celebrities would want a bad PR, and since when did most celebrities stood up for something that might affect their career?

      Perez, what the F@#%

  10. kakashi says:

this is a good example of a situation called “double standards”, he (perez hilton) who`s a blogger and supposed to be an example of a person exercising the freedom of speech and yet he himself doesnt entertain other people`s freedom of speech. its really sad to witness what kind of world these well known people is trying to do in our society, he said that he want a miss america to sound like a politician instead of being honest and have an open mind on what she think is right (his ideas of miss america sounds like george w. bush to me).

  11. Jason S Roste says:

Well i can say is… i’m with Ms. California. I stand with her.
