Winnie Monsod Explains C-5 Road Extension

There are 3 important points about this issue:

1. There are 2 roads that were proposed. One is from the Build-Operate-Transfer contractor (MCTEP) and the other is solely paid for by the government (C-5). The 2 roads are almost parallel to each other. The MCTEP project was approved first.

2. Properties that were bought for the right of way were more expensive on Villar’s property compared to non-Villar’s property by almost 500%.

3. Since the C-5 project is not a BOT (Build, Operate and Transfer) project, the will cost the government more.
