Noynoy for President: Part 2

As for my second pro-Noynoy post, I would like to discuss the second favorite topic Noynoy’s detractors like to parrot, the SCTEX.

Antis would say that while Villar may have benefited financially on the C-5 road extension, Noynoy isn’t any better as Hacienda Luisita benefited with the construction of SCTEX.

Well, here is a video of Winnie Monsod explaining the difference between the C-5 and the SCTEX.

If you do not have the time to watch the video or youtube is disabled in your area, here are the 5 important points.

Charges formally filed: Noynoy (SCTEX) – none; Villar (C-5) – formal charges filed.

Findings: Noynoy (SCTEX) – On going (no direct investigation); Villar (C-5) – Guilty of Unethical Conduct.

Length of final project: Noynoy (SCTEX) – Shorter by 2km than the original; Villar (C-5) – Longer by 3.4km than the original.

Prices paid for road right of way: Noynoy (SCTEX) – Php 100/sq m for Hacienda Luisita properties, Php 118.53/sq m for non-Hacienda Luisita properties; Villar (C-5) – Php 11,519/sq m for Villar properties, Php 2,422/sq m for non-Villar properties.

Ownership: Noynoy (SCTEX) – Indirect (<1% to about 2.2%); Villar – Direct (100%)

As with most Winnie Monsod’s segment, she deals with facts only. These data can be verified and should it be found false, it will tarnish Winnie Monsod’s reputation.

I won’t leave any conclusion here, it would be up to you to decide whether these facts will affect your preference.

House of Squared is written by that guy who knows more than the average Duterte supporter, which isn't saying much given that most of them are morons.
